Matthew DeJohn is a screenwriter whose work has been recognized by screenplay competitions including Scriptapalooza, the PAGE Awards, Outstanding Screenplays, and the Scriptation Showcase, as well as film festivals including the Nashville Film Festival and Film Invasion LA. In addition to his solo work, Matthew frequently collaborates with his father and writing partner, Frank DeJohn, a Nicholl Fellowship recipient and WGA member.
Alongside his writing, Matthew brings more than twenty years of filmmaking experience as a producer, editor, and visual effects supervisor. As a producer and editor, his credits include the upcoming series Open Season on Draymond Green and the award-winning Alex Honnold: The Soloist VR. As a visual effects supervisor, he has contributed to feature films including Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Walk, and Poltergeist.
Matthew is currently developing original projects for film and television while also seeking opportunities to write on assignment and collaborate with fellow filmmakers.
